Another day, another Booze Cruise show. This time they hosted one at Superbude St. Pauli hotel, with which they will also partner up for their festival this summer. Primetime Failure and Beginnings were playing that night, so we were provided with awesome, funny, and straight up cool punk music. It was especially nice for me to see Primetime Failure again for the third time now. Super cool and chill dudes, self-ironic and totally loveable.

The fine people over at Booze Cruise Festival regularly host matinee punk shows in Hamburg. They started into the new year with one at Hafenklang in Hamburg. Mom Jeans, Just Friends, and Hal Johnson performed great and captivating sets. Especially Mom Jeans and Just Friends had the crowd going in big punk parties!

Since then I shot almost all of their gigs in town, but oddly enough never went on the road with them. That changed last Saturday. Their sound is fairly progressive and really interesting, making for a band that’s not the 1000th copy within its genre. They’re also very cool to photograph, so I just had to shoot their performance (and the one by Kolari) at headCRASH in support of Hafensaengers at their EP release show.

This time German Garage Punk trio Die Cigaretten performed in the Karatekeller basement stage, and they put on a fun and really cool show, and had the crowd dancing away the whole time.

We at noisiv.de are no exception to that rule, though we’ve gone on a slightly different path with a number of YouTube videos. My personal yearly retrospect will be a lot more conservative though.
